I AM!

I am kind and decent
I wonder how many types of dolphins there are
I hear the seagulls cackle with laughter
I see the waves crashing
I want to be a marine biologist

I am kind and decent
I pretend to live in Rarotonga and Australia
I feel the cold sea foam on my bare arms
I touch the burning sand with my feet

I worry about sea life dying
I cry when polar bears and sea life die

I am kind and decent
I understand when you can’t do something
I say you should believe
I dream about what the Great Barrier Reef looks like
I try to draw dolphins but never succeed
I hope to swim with dolphins one day
I am kind and decent

  3. Your poem is a lovely piece of writing Emily. Sounds like you have a real passion for the sea. I look forward to you blogging more and reading more of your writing.
